01

Category Winners (Gold Medalists with the highest score) in the Children's Choir B, Teenage Choir, Youth Choir, Mixed Choir, Equal Voices, Sacred Music, Folklore, and Open categories will advance to the Grand Prix round.

02

With special consideration, the jury can choose a participant that does not win the Category Winner to advance to the Grand Prix round.

03

The announcement of participants qualifying for the Grand Prix round will be delivered via email or WhatsApp and all social media of the Soegijapranata International Choir Competition.

04

Participation in the Grand Prix is mandatory. Failure to participate will result in forfeiture of certificates, medals, and monetary prizes, though titles will remain recognized.

05

Participants are required to perform 2 (two) free pieces, with only one piece allowed to be repeated from the competition round.

06

The maximum performance duration (pure singing time) is 10 (ten) minutes.

07

Performance order for the Grand Prix round will be determined by the committee and the artistic team.

08

Final evaluation is determined independently by the jury.

01

Each category in the Soegijapranata International Choir Competition will be judged by adjudicators with experience in the field of music and choral performance.

02

The evaluation system in this competition is based on the following criteria:

  • Intonation
  • Sound quality
  • Fidelity to the score
  • Overall artistic impression
03

Each adjudicator awards a score as a whole number ranging from 50 to 100.

  • The Intermediate Total Score is the average of all adjudicators' scores.
  • The score will be presented with two decimal places.
  • If the third decimal digit is less than 5, it will be rounded down. If it is 5 or greater, it will be rounded up. (Example: 78.643 becomes 78.64; 84.465 becomes 84.47).
04

Points will be automatically deducted from the Intermediate Total Score in the event of the following violations:

  • Participants who fail to appear on stage after 3 (three) calls will incur a penalty of 3 (three) points.
  • Performances that fall below the minimum limit (Open category) or exceed the maximum limit will incur a penalty of 1 (one) point for every 30-second increment.
05

The Final Score is the Intermediate Total Score minus the total penalty points (if any).

06

The jury’s decisions are final.
